A meal plan that will shrink your gut—and fill it at the same time.

A lot can happen in 6 minutes. It’s enough time to make or break a job interview, have great sex, or listen to all of Quiet Riot’s greatest hits.

And in 6 minutes, you can find your six-pack abs.

Not with a CAT scan or an endoscope or a self-powered liposuction machine, but with an intelligent, well-balanced, and (most of all) easy eating plan made up of great-tasting foods. Not a fad diet. And no weird vacuum-sealed meals that have to be special-delivered to your home by the food police. Just sensible food that’s fast and easy—and isn’t pushed through your car window by a guy in a paper hat.

Abs, after all, aren’t made in the gym—they’re made in the kitchen. What you put into your mouth is far more important than what you put into your workout. For example, in an analysis of 33 clinical trials, Brazilian researchers determined that diet controls about 75 percent of weight loss. Of course, that doesn’t mean exercise isn’t an important part of the fat-burning formula. But if you want the fastest results, a smart eating plan is the foundation of your gut-busting program.

So that’s why we’re introducing the Abs Diet Arsenal: easy guidelines that can make you lean for life. They’re based on my book The Abs Diet, which has guided more than a million people in making permanent changes in their food intake and fat output.

Too many diets are about rules and deprivation. And let’s face it: Once you’re told you can’t have something, don’t you just want it more? So I want you to stop thinking you have rules. I simply want you to rethink the way you eat. Follow the guidelines below and you’ll feel what it’s like to eat right, stay satisfied, and fuel your body with high-octane energy.

Because I believe abs, beer, and Star Wars movies aren’t the only good things that come in sixes, I’ve developed six guidelines for the Abs Diet. Eat this way and you’ll be able to ditch the old rules — as well as your old body.

Old Diets
Eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Abs Diet
Eat six times a day.

Old diet systems ensure that you stay hungry by forcing you to eat a daily calorie count that’s lower than Jessica Simpson’s SAT scores. I don’t want you hungry — I want you full. When you’re full, you won’t be as tempted (or likely) to steamroll your way through pizza boxes.

And the way you’ll get full is by eating six times a day, choosing from the nutritional heroes you’ll meet below. By eating every few hours, you’ll keep your metabolism revved and ensure overall stomach satisfaction. The great thing about the Abs Diet powerfoods is that, because they’re high in nutrients, protein, healthy fats, and fiber, they make it almost impossible to overeat. Proper nutrition will leave you feeling satiated all day long.

How to do it: Eat three standard meals and three smaller snacks.

For example:

BREAKFAST 11 a.m.
SNACK 1 p.m.
LUNCH 4 p.m.
SNACK 6 p.m.
DINNER 9 p.m.
SNACK

Sudah lama sebenarnya hobby yang satu ini kependam. Hobby apakah itu? yep, photography.

Hobby ini sebenarnya sudah diperkenalkan oleh ayah saya sejak kecil. Banyak album foto nostalgia saya yang di simpan ortu saya di Batam (suatu saat nanti saya scan) masih terlihat cemerlang. Saya tidak akan lupa dengan merek pertama yang pernah saya afal, baca dan tentu saja dicoba yaitu merek Canon seri AF-1. Saya ingat pada satu waktu praktek menggunakan kamera ini wow… kayak fotografer professional bo’…. nanti kapan-kapan saya upload hasil jepretan saya di blog ini.

Nah… kembali ke jaman sekarang. Gue lagi naksir banget sama Canon EOS 400D. Kebetulan gue lagi di Batam nih mau hunting ke toko-toko survey harga dulu (Ga.. jadi n gak sempet euy..). Di jpckemang.com harganya lumayan kompetitif sih… tapi mudah-mudah di Batam ada yang harganya miring.

Wah gara-gara sibuk baru bisa nulis blog lagi nih. Sibuknya banyak mulai dari dugem sampai dengan barbeque di Batam pada vacation 25-28 Agustus 2007 yang lalu. Eh pas sampai di kantor juga sibuk dengan urusan kantor … ya.. itulah dunia penuh dengan kesibukan. Halah!! mudah-mudahan bukan sok sibuk aja kali ya.

Sibuk yang sebenarnya adalah bagaimana me-manage waktu dan pekerjaan kita sehari-hari dan bertanding melawan diri kita sendiri sehingga yang namanya sibuk menjadi enjoybuk hehehe apaan tuh… bisa aja nih Edwin. OK deh selamat bersibuk ria.

Tadi siang pas sampe di rumah Ortu (ceritanya masih di Batam nih) pengen cek email tapi selalu gagal saat dial-up. Penasaran saya tenya ke CS XL di 818 dan mendapat informasi GPRS sedang mengalami gangguan. Alasannya sih karena ada maintenance, tapi kok gak ada backup koneksi yach? walah kacau nih gak bisa cek email karena gak bisa akses internet.

Pagi ini saya iseng cek sepertinya tanda-tanda GPRS udah hidup kelihatan nih. Akhirnya bisa juga konek walaupun saat pertama sekali aga putus-putus. Tapi gak apalah yang penting udah bisa konek lagi.

Alhamdulillah hari ini pukul 13.30 telah nyampe di Batam. Kunjungan kali ini adalah untuk menghadiri Reuni Akbar SMANSA dan silaturahmi dengan teman-teman Iluni. Acara akan di adakan besok 26 agustus 2007 pukul 12.30 di Asrama haji Batam.

Batam suhunya panas kalau siang hari namun untuk udara masih fresh dibanding Jakarta yang panas dan berdebu…

Minggu minggu ini saya merasa ada masalah dengan mata saya. Sebelum-belumnya sih udah pernah ngersain dan cek ke eye center yang katanya mata sebelah kiri saya silinder. Tapi yang ini agak beda karena mata cepat lelah dan fokusnya agak kurang kayaknya kalau melihat jauh. Sepertinya harus cek mata lagi ke Dokter.

Selain itu ada masalah lain. Mulai saya rasa saat di SMA kelas 3. Jadi kalau melihat seperti ada bayang-bayangan hitam yang mengikuti kalau mata digerakan. Bisa sembuh gak ya? penasaran pengen tanya sama dokter.

Kemarin tanggal 19 Agustus 2007 adalah hari bersejarah buat Adikku Brian Maolana. Pada tanggal itu dia telah melepas mas lajangnya dengan seorang wanita pilihannya yaitu Sofia Damayanti. I would like to say congratulations, semoga menjadi keluaraga yang Sakinah, Mawaddah dan Warohmah.

  White EdeniumRed Adenium

Pertama-tama saya gak kenal dengan tanaman yang satu ini. Tapi akhir-akhir ini keinginan tahuan saya tentang tanaman ini semakin kuat karena bentuknya yang unik seperti tanaman bonsai. Tanaman ini dikenal dengan nama Adenium atau Desert Rose asalnya sih.. katanya dari Arab dan Africa sana namun berkembang ke seluruh benua terutama di daerah tropis. Tanaman ini memang cocok sekali hidup di suhu daerah tropis dan tidak perlu banyak air.

Istri sayalah yang pertama sekali mengenalkan tanaman ini, sangking “nafsu”nya hampir 10 pot lebih dibeli namun karena kurangnya pengetahuan ada beberapa tanaman yang mati karena disiram air berlebihan. Saya juga mungkin turut berkontribusi dengan menyiram tanaman tiap paginya hehehe sorry nih Joe.. (my wife nickname…) .

Istri saya juga mencoba mengawinkan Adenium berwarna merah dan putih dan berhasil tanpa sengaja. Ceritanya dia mendapat pengetahuan dari teman kantornya, lalu dicoba eh.. gak taunya berhasil. Hasil kawin akan tumbuh seperti gambar dibawah:

Pada awalnya dia sangka mau tumbuh bunga. Tapi akhirnya engeh… (pas beli buku tentang Adenium di Gremedia) bahwa itu adalah calon biji hasil perkawinan generatif. Mudah-mudahan bijinya berhasil nih.. katanya nungguk sampai 2-3 bulan sampai mateng.
